      Dear Mark
I’ve just picked up your message on our website. This is to let you know that IOTAS is now getting back to the new normal following the lockdown earlier this year. We have organised a number of visits, tours and outings for our members during this summer and also have a programme of talks and activities etc. organised up till Christmas. All this is dependent on government Covid restrictions, of course. If you would like membership details it is best to contact us at our email address: mail@iotas.org.uk rather than through the website as our emails are continuously monitored and you will get a quicker reply. I will send you a membership form from our webmail for you to complete and return to us. Also have a look at our Facebook page, as we have a talk on Monday 18 Oct on Antoinette Powell-Cotton’s excavations at Minnis Bay.
Look forward to hearing from you.

      IOTAS Chair

Hi my son has severe autism and is interested in history, mainly militaria from all decades and country’s,he is interested in studying history and archaeology, but i think being with a group will give a better insite as to what is involved, he is 20 years old very shy, does not do large crowds or loud noise. I wondered if we could come along(when permitted) to a meeting or watch a dig to see if he would like it. If he does we would both join on a life membership. Thankyou for your time, best regards Mark.

Thank you for getting in touch. I’m sorry, but at the moment we are not having any public meetings nor is it possible to watch a dig due to Covid restrictions. We are hoping to resume public talks in October. Please keep a lookout on our website for further information nearer the time, or email us on mail@iotas.org.uk for membership details and information on our events. We also have a Facebook page where we post regularly on items of interest in history and archaeology.
